Chuck Mune, MBA, RHU

Chuck Mune has twenty five years of experience in the employee benefits and insurance field. Chuck is Vice President of the San Diego branch of Strategic Employee Benefits Services, (one of 18 offices located throughout the U.S.). Chuck and his team are responsible for the employee benefit programs of more than 150 company clients. Services that his unit provides include health and welfare plan management, benefit compliance services, human resource assistance, wellness programs, and employee benefit websites.

Prior to joining Strategic Employee Benefit Services of San Diego, Chuck served Blue Cross of California for seven years as Group Sales Executive in the San Diego office. He led Blue Cross to its largest membership growth and retention standings in San Diego. Preceding this, Chuck directed the Account Management and National Sales unit of Prudential HealthCare in Denver Colorado. Mr. Mune has held positions in marketing and sales management for CIGNA Healthcare and FHP/TakeCare in San Diego as well. Additionally, Chuck worked on the provider side of the health care industry as Director of Marketing and Business Development for American Medical Pathways. In this role, he managed the company's provider contracts with many of the nations leading health insurers. Throughout his career, Chuck has dedicated himself to assisting large and small employer groups to effectively manage their employee benefit programs.

In 1983, Chuck received his B.S. degree in business from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. He then pursued his Masters degree, which he received from the University of San Diego in 1987. Chuck has also obtained a Registered Health Underwriter designation from the American College. He and his family reside in San Diego, CA.
